Ripper #1
Ripper #1 rips audio CD's with high-performance CD ripping and encoding. It allows you to convert files from one format to another, burn audio CD's, copy "copy-protected" CD's, read audio from badly scratched CD's, download and upload disc information from and to FreeDB, and get support for volume normalization, compressor, and fade in/out. The program supports formats such as MP3, MP4, Ogg Vorbis, and Windows Media Audio.
Ripper #2
Ripper #2 is a free and easy-to-use application that can record digital audio tracks directly from compact discs to PC files. You can save CD audio tracks to CD-quality WAV files or encode them to OGG Vorbis or MP3 compressed audio format. It can also convert/encode audio files from/to WAV/MP3/OGG formats. Ripper #2 also lets you adjust track volume and it supports Freedb and ID3 tagging. Moreover, Ripper #2 includes a music search bar.
DVD #1
This is a DVD copying utility that will copy almost any movie DVD onto a blank DVD-R or DVD+R. Unlike other similar programs, this one does not require multiple blank DVD +/- R's (only one blank DVD +/-R). All special features will be retained on the copy. Also copies created from this program can be easily re-copied with Roxio or Nero without the need for re-decription.
Copying is a three step process.
1. Choose your source (DVD or HDD).
2. Extract to a folder on your local hard drive.
3. Use your DVD burning software to use that directory to create your DVD-VIDEO. (Refer to your burning software's documentation on how to do this.)
4. If you don't have burning software for DVD's, Try Burner #1 Below
DVD #2
DVD #2 is free and easy to use DVD ripping and 'shrinking' software to backup DVD discs. You can use this software in conjunction with any burning software, to make a backup copy of any DVD videodisc. The output from DVD #2 can be saved as files on your hard drive, which you can then burn with software of your choice. DVD #2 will also burn your backup DVD, if you have installed the latest version of Burner #1. Most DVD video titles are simply too large to fit, without modification, onto a single recordable DVD-R or CD-R disk. DVD #2 overcomes this problem by modifying or 'shrinking' the data from your original DVD. DVD #2 provides two ways of shrinking your DVD disk. These are re-authoring and re-encoding. You can use one, or the other, or for maximum 'shrinkage', both combined.
